MOS-01, -01A Manual Oscillators for AC Power Sources/Frequency Converters

GENERAL DESCRIPTION

The MOS-01 manual oscillator module is used as a quality, general-purpose sinewave oscillator and digital readout monitoring system in the MAC-01, -02, or -03 AC Power Sources/Frequency Converters. The unit has guaranteed operating range of 20 HZ to 20 KHZ which is covered in three one-decade scales. The LCD digital metering system is switch-selectable to readout either frequency, voltage or current. A toggle switch selects the input for the attached AC Power Source/Frequency Converter to originate from the manual oscillator itself or from an external laboratory or programmable oscillator source. With oscillator mode switch in Internal position, the BNC connector delivers the signal to drive additional slave units or for oscilloscope sync or monitoring. BNC input/output is completely isolated with 1500 VAC breakdown and excellent common mode rejection. The oscillator modules must be factory installed and calibrated.

DIGITAL PANEL METER: 3 1/2 digit, .5" high, LCD display. Ranges and accuracies (TA= 25° to 50° C)
Frequency 19.9 to 199.9 HZ, .199 to 1.999 KHZ, 1.99 to 19.99 KHZ ± .5% of FS reading. Voltage 00.0 to
130.0 VAC ± 1 VAC, 000 to 260 VAC ± 1 VAC. Current 00.0 to 100.0% of rated mainframe current output ± 2%
over 80% to 105% range.

OSCILLATOR STABILITY:

Amplitude ± .05% (@ 25° C) or .25% (0° - 50° C)

Frequency ± .10% (@ 25° C) or .50% (0° - 50° C)

HARMONIC DISTORTION: Less than 1%, 20 HZ to 20 KHZ

OUTPUT NOISE: 80 db below full rated 1.1 Vrms output.

EXTERNAL INPUT: Oscillator mode switch on Ext. Input. 1.1 Vrms (45 HZ to 15 KHZ) or .9 Vrms (15 KHZ to
20 KHZ) for full rated output from AC Power Source/Frequency Converters. Do not overdrive. Input impedance 33K ohms. AC coupled.
Isolation is 1,500VAC with greater than 90db common mode rejection.

EXTERNAL OUTPUT: Oscillator mode switch on Internal position. Use to drive up to five additional AC Power Source/Frequency Converter
slaves equipped with EIM-01 input modules for up to 6 KVA power output. Use for scope sync or monitoring.
Drive level 0 - 1.1Vrms, ground isolated to 1500VAC.

OPERATING TEMPERATURE RANGE: 0° C to 50° C

STORAGE TEMPERATURE RANGE: -55° C to +85° C

OPERATING HUMIDITY RANGE: 0% TO 95% non-condensing

SIZE: 6.7" X 5.0" Front panel plug-in.

FINISH: Aluminum panel is high durability satin beige with black lettering.

OPTIONS: For semi-fixed applications where it is desirable to prevent accidental change of frequency or
voltage settings, order MOS-01B with single or MOS-01A with ten turn screwdriver adjustable recessed pots.
